Sustaining a 2.1% Annual GDP Growth Rate: Balancing Stability and Progress

A consistent annual GDP growth rate of 2.1% occupies a distinctive middle ground in macroeconomic discourse. For advanced economies, it often represents a "Goldilocks" scenario—neither too hot to trigger inflation nor too cold to induce recession. For emerging markets, however, 2.1% may signal stagnation. This essay explores the implications, drivers, and policy challenges associated with a sustained 2.1% GDP growth trajectory.

    When I read these lines
    I thought what an image!

    was marvellous.

  2. Thank you so much for posting this. I enjoyed Beweketu’s poetry even more than his novels through the years. I also hope his previous poetry works would be translated into english to reach a larger audience.
