The most "interesting" AJB Nippy is the vintage roadster. Between 1934 and 1937, only 682 Nippy roadsters were ever built, making it a rare collector's item.
The "AJB Nippy" mod involves retrofitting a smaller, high-flow electric auxiliary coolant heater. This device "nippily" (quickly) boosts the coolant temperature during the warm-up phase. It is called "nippy" not just because it is fast, but because it combats the "nippy" (cold) weather that exposes the engine's weakness.
