Artcut Wentai Software ((better)) Full Site

Disclaimer: ArtCut and Wentai are older cutting software programs, primarily used in the sign-making industry. Wentai (often known as Wentai CAS or SignGo) is the English/international version of the software. Since these are legacy programs, official support is limited, and they are best suited for older Windows versions (XP, 7, or 8). Use this guide for educational and setup purposes only.

  1. You usually need to install the USB-to-Serial driver (CH340 or PL2303) for your cutter first. This creates a "Virtual COM Port."
  2. Go to Windows Device Manager (Right-click Start button > Device Manager).
  3. Expand Ports (COM & LPT).
  4. Look for something like "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM3)." Note the COM number (e.g., COM3).
  5. Back in Wentai/ArtCut, go to Cutter Setup.
  6. Set the Port to the COM number you found in Device Manager.
  7. Leave Baud Rate at default (usually 9600 or 38400) unless your cutter manual says otherwise.
