2. Typical workflow
- Preparation
Resolution: Ensure your file has enough DPI for the intended output size. This document is designed to help new users
- Import ICC profile for each device (printer and proofing devices).
- Choose a default document profile (e.g., ISOcoated_v2 for coated offset).
- Set rendering intent (perceptual for photo, relative colorimetric for branding).
- Draft (4 pass): Fast but grainy. Banners, rough proofing.
- Production (8 pass): Standard quality for decals.
- High Quality (12-16 pass): Fine art, gallery prints.
- Bidirectional: Faster (head prints left-to-right and right-to-left).
- Unidirectional: Slower, better gloss uniformity on metallic media.
