The Issue: Users have reported that Edius is not responding due to unexpected issues, resulting in frustration and lost productivity. The software may freeze, crash, or become unresponsive, causing users to lose their work or experience delays.

• Detect unresponsive UI or stalled render/encode processes via watchdog thread.
• On hang, attempt staged recovery: pause background threads, flush autosave, and reload project state from latest checkpoint without restarting the app.
• If in-memory recovery fails, automatically restart EDIUS and restore from latest checkpoint.

Restart EH Services: Use the Windows Services manager (services.msc) to ensure all "Grass Valley" or "EDIUS Hub" services are set to "Automatic" and are currently running.

2. Use Import → Sequence to import only the .ezp file – sometimes the timeline loads without corrupt effects.
