ESET Endpoint Security: Password Reset Guide

ESET Endpoint Security products (including ESET Endpoint Antivirus and ESET Server Security) often utilize a password-protected settings lock. This feature prevents unauthorized users from disabling protection, uninstalling the software, or modifying configuration policies.

Method 1: Reset password using ESET GUI

1. Open a command prompt: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. Type cmd and press Enter to open a command prompt.
2. Navigate to the ESET Endpoint Security installation directory: Use the cd command to navigate to the ESET Endpoint Security installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Endpoint Security).
3. Run the password reset command: Execute the following command: eset_esetpwdreset.exe <new_password>

If the email reset is unavailable, you must generate a code for ESET Technical Support to assist.
