- The Swarm (L1): Your cheapest (1 HP) and most numerous summon. It has Retaliate 1 and a pitiful attack. Its purpose is purely sacrificial. It exists to absorb hits, trigger your "on-ally-death" cards, and provide adjacency bonuses for your bigger bugs.
- The Stinging Wasp (L1): A flying summon with a decent Attack 2 and Shield 1. Fragile but mobile. Use it to bypass obstacles and poke enemy archers. It is your primary damage dealer in the early game.
- The Bombardier Beetle (L2/X): A slow, armored (Shield 2) summon that does not attack. Instead, at the end of each round, it explodes in an adjacent hex for true damage. This is your area denial tool. Place it in a doorway, and enemies must either eat the explosion or waste turns going around.
- The Queen (L5): A loss summon that does nothing on its own but spawns a free Swarm at the end of every round. If the Queen survives three rounds, you have effectively tripled your army size. Protecting her is a win condition.
