Hp Card Reader Configuration Utility [RECOMMENDED]

The HP Card Reader Configuration Utility is a specialized tool used to configure and deploy card-type settings for HP proximity and smart card readers installed across a fleet of HP printers and MFPs

• Through the HP Device Manager: Users can access the utility through the HP Device Manager, which provides a centralized interface to manage HP devices.
• Through the Windows Control Panel: Users can also access the utility through the Windows Control Panel, under the "Devices and Printers" or "Device Manager" section.
• Through the HP Support website: Users can download and install the utility from the HP Support website.

hp_card_reader_cfg.exe /LIST -> Outputs all card readers present.

• Card type settings (e.g., SD, MMC, XD, etc.)
• Card reader mode settings (e.g., single card, multi-card, etc.)
• Data transfer settings (e.g., speed, buffering, etc.)

1. Open the HP Card Reader Configuration Utility from the Start Menu.
2. Go to Power Management → Uncheck "Enable Selective Suspend." Click Apply.
