4.3 Carrying Custom Samples

Since there is no official standalone "portable" hardware version of the 01/W, most users achieve a portable setup by downloading the sounds into a tablet, laptop, or sampler.

  1. Download sound banks on your main computer.
  2. Copy the .hfe or .img files (converted from .PCG) to a USB stick.
  3. Plug the USB stick into the Gotek on your 01/W.
  4. Use the buttons on the Gotek to select "Disk 001" or "Disk 042."
  5. Press "Load" on your 01/W. Done.
