What the Booster Course Pass Is

The Booster Course Pass is a downloadable content (DLC) series that adds retro tracks from previous Mario Kart games into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with updated visuals, full 200cc support, and online lobbies. Released in multiple waves (called “waves” or “cups”), it brings a large number of classic circuits back into rotation, remastered for the Switch. Online Play: If you join a friend's lobby

For a limited time, Expansion Pack members also got access to exclusive Mii Racing Suits themed after The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon.

Structure: 6 waves of content, each featuring 8 courses and new characters.

Online Play: If you join a friend's lobby using an NSP setup with the exclusive unlocker, you can play the 96 tracks seamlessly. However, be aware that Nintendo’s servers can sometimes detect mismatched DLC signatures, leading to bans.
Completionism: For completionists, the "Exclusive" DLC includes Mii Suits based on Pikmin and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These cannot be obtained via the base game save editor; they require the DLC NSP installation.
