Step 4: Prepare Your USB Drive

• Format a USB drive to FAT32 or exFAT (exFAT is better for files over 4GB).
• Create a folder at the root: PKG
• Place your downloaded .pkg game files inside that folder.

Method 1: Installing PKG from USB (Recommended for beginners)

Step 1: Download your desired PS3 HEN game PKG file on your PC.
Step 2: Copy the .pkg file to the root of a USB drive formatted as FAT32.
Step 3: Plug the USB into your PS3.
Step 4: On the PS3 XMB, go to Game → Package Manager → Install Package Files → Standard (or USB device).
Step 5: Select the PKG file and press X to install.
Step 6: Wait for the installation (could take 5–20 minutes depending on file size).
Step 7: Once completed, the game icon will appear on the XMB. Launch it like any digital game.

1. Insert your PS3 disc into the PC Blu-ray drive.
2. Use PS3 Disc Dumper to create an ISO of the game.
3. Extract the ISO using PS3 ISO Tool.
4. Use TAPR to rebuild the game folder structure into a PKG.
5. Sign the PKG using a fake HEN license (built into TAPR).
6. Copy to USB and install via Package Manager.
