: One of the fastest land animals in the game. They are premier mounts for kiting enemies or high-speed caravanning. A-Tier: High Utility & Combat rimworld alpha animals tier list
- Feralisks (non-clutch) – Aggressive, web-slinging spiders. They paralyze pawns on hit. A single miss-click taming attempt = colony wipe.
- Barbspear – High damage, zero survivability. Will charge enemies → dies instantly, then explodes into barbed spikes that injure your own pawns.
- Slurrypede – Produces nutrient paste from nothing, but spawns tiny oozes that multiply if not frozen. Can lag your game to a halt.
- Dunealisk – Sand-swimming predator. Buries itself, then ambushes your harvesters. No useful product.
- Frost Wyrm – Cold-damage flyer. Awesome in ice sheet. Requires frozen meat and will target your pawns if hungry. Frost breath can shatter prisoners.
- Flamespitter – Pyromaniac’s pet. Sets fire to everything. Great for clearing forests, terrible if you use wood walls.
- Mossbeard – Slow farmer. Grazes + occasionally digs up Ambrosia. Low combat value but passive income. Very slow.
- Scytherwasp – Early-game swarm pet. Weak individually, but taming a queen lets you spawn disposable warriors. Queen needs royal jelly.
