Update Nexus Library Location <ESSENTIAL>

Running out of space on your main drive? You can easily move your NEXUS content library to a secondary hard drive or custom directory using the reFX Cloud App.

If you mean Vortex (modern Nexus Mods app)

1. Vortex → Settings → Mods tab.
2. Click the folder icon for Mod Staging Folder → choose new location.
3. Vortex will prompt to move existing mods.

Step 5: Update the Nexus Configuration (Critical Step)

To permanently update the nexus library location, you must edit two specific files. Do not change the nexus-work directory unless you are moving the entire instance. Running out of space on your main drive

The easiest way to move your library or update its path is through the official management software: Open reFX Cloud : Log in and ensure your expansions are visible. Access Settings : Click the Settings icon (usually a gear) in the top-right corner. Move Content : Look for the "library folder" or a button labeled "move content to a new location" Select New Path Vortex → Settings → Mods tab
