The IP address 192.168.1.1 is the default gateway for many ZTE routers.

  1. Locate the Reset button on the back or bottom of the router (often recessed in a small hole).
  2. With the router powered on, use a paperclip to press and hold the button for 10–15 seconds.
  3. Release. The lights will flash, and the router will restart with factory settings (including default IP 192.168.1.1 and default username/password).

  • If you're setting up the router for the first time, look for a “Setup Wizard” or “Quick Setup” option.
  • Follow the wizard to configure basic settings like Internet connection type, Wi-Fi network name (SSID), and Wi-Fi password.

8) Resetting the router

  • Soft reboot via the admin page (System Tools → Reboot).
  • Factory reset via button: press/hold the Reset button (usually ~10 seconds) while powered on.
  • After factory reset, admin credentials return to defaults and settings are lost—reconfigure.
