6. Feature Distinction: Unlock vs. Root/FRP

• Unlock code removes carrier lock (SIM restriction).
• Does not remove Factory Reset Protection (FRP) or unlock the bootloader for custom ROMs.

Find your IMEI:

• Dial *#06# on the phone’s keypad → 15-digit IMEI appears.
• Or check under the battery (if removable) or on the box.

For T-Mobile (Postpaid):

Once you have your 8-digit or 16-digit NCK (Network Control Key): Power off the phone. Remove the current SIM card and insert a SIM card from a different carrier Power the phone back on.
